We respect your privacy and let you request deletion of the personal data we hold about you in connection with our Caller ID, Spam Blocker & SMS App (“the App”). This page explains what can be deleted, how to submit a request, what verification we need, and what to expect after you request deletion.
1. What we can delete
Depending on how you used the App, we may be able to delete:
- Your account record (user ID, username, email address).
- Phone number(s) associated with your account.
- Contact-sync data and any contacts you explicitly uploaded.
- SMS message metadata or message contents that were stored on our servers (if any).
- Device identifiers and registration tokens.
- Call logs, block lists, spam reports and any manual feedback you submitted.
- Usage analytics and diagnostics (aggregate or user-level where applicable).
- Any third-party tokens we control (we may instruct third parties to remove data where possible).
2. What we may not be able to delete
- Information that we are legally required to keep (for example, to comply with law enforcement requests or tax/financial recordkeeping).
- Data that has been fully deleted from active systems but remains in backups for a limited time.
- Data held by third parties (e.g., analytics providers, SMS delivery partners) where we cannot directly remove it — we will contact those vendors when possible.
3. How to submit a deletion request
You can request deletion via email :

Subject: Data Deletion Request — [Caller ID, Spam Blocker & SMS App]
Include:
- Your full name
- The phone number(s) associated with the account
- The email address registered with the account (if any)
- Your username (if applicable)
- Device ID or other account identifiers (if known)
- A short statement confirming you request deletion of all personal data associated with the account/phone number
- Proof of ownership (see Verification below)

4. Required information & verification
To avoid unauthorized deletions we require proof that you control the account or phone number. Acceptable verification methods include:
- Replying from the email address registered to the account.
- Sending an SMS from the phone number in question to the verification number we provide.
- Logging into the account and submitting a deletion request via the app.
- Uploading a screenshot showing your phone number in the app if requested.
We will never ask for your password. If we cannot reliably verify you, we will ask for additional information or deny the request to protect your account.
5. What happens after we receive your request
- Acknowledgement: We confirm receipt within 5 business days.
- Verification: If we need proof, we will request it and provide steps.
- Processing: Once verified, we will delete the data we control within 30 days (this timeframe may be extended if necessary; we will notify you).
- Confirmation: We send you a confirmation email when deletion is completed. If any data cannot be deleted (e.g., legal retention or third-party limits), we will explain why.
6. Retention & backups
Deletion removes data from live systems. Copies may remain in backups or logs for a limited period (typically up to X days/months — insert your actual backup retention period). These backup copies are isolated from active systems and will be deleted according to our backup retention policy.
7. Consequences of deletion
Deleting your data may:
- Permanently remove access to the account and all associated settings, blocked/spam lists, and message history.
- Prevent recovery of lost message history or preferences.
- Affect app functionality (e.g., personalized spam protection may be reduced until a new profile is created).
8. Third-party data
If your data was shared with third-party partners (for example to improve spam detection), we will request deletion from those partners where possible. We cannot guarantee third-party compliance; where deletion from a partner is not feasible, we will inform you.
9. Legal rights & complaints
If you believe we failed to comply with your deletion request, contact us at privacy@[your-domain].com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority depending on your jurisdiction.
